Mr. Darby died Wednesday, October 27, 2010. Born in Orangeburg, he was a son of the late Clarence Darby Sr. and the late Rebecca Kelly Darby. Mr. Darby served in the United States Army from 1965 to 1967. He retired from E.I. DuPont de Nemours and Company after 35 years of service. He was a member of the Townsmen Club in Columbia, a member of Camden Tourist Elk Lodge #1638, and a former member of Al Bahr Temple, in Camden. Mr. Darby enjoyed sports.
Mr. Darby was a member of Camden First United Methodist Church.
Surviving are his daughter, Monica Darby Roddy; son, Andre""' Darby; sisters, Delores G. McClain, Helen L. Darby and Ruthine Jenkins; brother, Leroyal R. Darby; and grandchildren, Allen Darby, Noah Darby and Bria Greene.
