David R. Payne SALLEY Mr. David Ray Payne, 60, entered into rest Thursday, August 17, 2017. David was the husband of Suzy F. Payne (married for 41 years). He was the father and father-in-law of Lori and Jamie Poole, and Amber and Brandon Dickson, all of Salley. David was the grandfather of Savannah Poole and Jamie "Bubba" Poole, Jr. He was a son of Maxine Ramsey Payne of Gilbert, and the late Billy Ray Payne. He was the brother and brother-in-law of George Allen (Teresa) Payne, Cynthia Lynne (Jeffery) Langlois, and Alton Edwin (Sandra) Payne, all of Chapin, Rose Marie (Bobby) Gunter of Gilbert, Constance "Connie" (Joaquin "Ken") Okazaki of Chapin, and Shirley (Leslie "Chip") Irick of Pelion. David was the son-in-law of Betty Fox and the late Levi Fox of Salley. He has several nieces and nephews. David was a charter member of the Hollow Creek Hunting Club. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Blizzard Funeral Home and Cremation Services. Funeral service will be 5 p.m. Sunday at Clinton United Methodist Church with the Rev. Grayson "Butch" Blackwell. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
