I, along with members of our Belvedere chapter send our deepest condolences to the Capps family.
Donald Capps was a great help, and influential in helping me to establish our chapter in 1987. Through the years, he showed great service to the National Federation of the Blind, South Carolina and beyond. He encouraged the blind to be independent and productive members of society. He will be missed.

This is for Craig Capps, his son--This is Paul Sheftman, we grew up together, went to school together. So sorry to hear about your father--what a loving and great person, as was your mother. Please reach out to me--it's been many years. [email protected]

I am sad to learn of Dr. Capps' death and know he is again with his beloved wife, Betty. I was proud to call Dr. Capps friend and, for many years, boss at both Colonial Life Insurance Company and The Federation Center of the Blind. I will miss you, my friend and mentor. Prayers are sent to Craig, all of his family, and all who knew and loved Dr. Capps.

Dr. Capps has been my friend and mentor for 30 years. As a blind person, my quality of life has been improved because of his tremendous work on behalf of blind people. He will be dearly missed. His family will be in our thoughts and prayers.
