Mrs. Mundy died Friday, August 20, 2010. Born in Greenwood, she was the daughter of the late Wyatt Wideman Bowick Sr. and Thelma Lord Bowick. A member of Forest Lake Presbyterian Church, she loved her family and enjoyed gardening and reading. She married her husband, Herman, in 1950 and spent ten wonderful years in Goldsboro, N.C. She was the owner of Jack ""'n Jill Nursery and worked at St. Martin""'s-in-the-Fields drop-in nursery, where she enjoyed working with young children and established many friendships there.
Surviving are her son, Herman Aeston """Mike""" Mundy Jr. and his wife, Karen; granddaughter, Erin Elizabeth Mundy, all of Boynton Beach, Fla.; son, Gregory Neal Mundy of Columbia; nieces, Andrea B. Devries, Patti Bowick; nephew, John Michael Bowick, all of Anderson; sisters-in-law, Estelle Holcombe, Mary McAllister; nephews, Jolly Holcombe, Warrren Holcombe, Warren Mundy. She was predeceased by her husband of 60 years, Herman Aeston Mundy Sr.; brothers, Thomas Ray Bowick, Wyatt W. Bowick Jr.
The family would like to thank the staff and her friends at the Rice Home for their support, love, care and friendship.
