Edith Shuler Obituary

Edith Van Grant Shuler COLUMBIA - Ms. Shuler departed this earthly life on March 25, 2016 at Palmetto Health Richland Hospital after a long illness. On Tuesday, March 29, 2016, the family will receive friends at Bostick-Tompkins Funeral Home from 6-8pm. On Wednesday, March 30, 2016 at 11:00 am, a graveside service will be held for Ms. Shuler at Serenity Memorial Gardens, 1101 Buckner Road, Columbia. Ms. Shuler was born on February 28, 1945 in Columbia, SC. She was the daughter of the late Climont and Wilhmena (Kaye) Grant Sims. She graduated from C. A. Johnson High School in 1963 and attended Allen University. Ms. Shuler is survived by her daughter, Chaunci Kaye Shuler; a sister, Mrs. Shirley G. (Sammie) McClure; four nieces: a special niece, Lori G. Dean; Madelyn G. (Richmond) Cromwell and Jennifer K. Grant, and Lynsi McClure; one nephew, Billy F. Grant, Jr; an uncle, Shelley Bill Grant, and a host of cousins and friends. Condolences may be sent to the family by visiting www.bosticktompkinsinc.com.
