Leon was born on June 18 1942 in Greenville, SC. He was the son of the late Horace Lonzo and Georgia Eloise Black Riddle. He retired from Shuron Inc. with more than 25 years service. In his earlier years, Leon enjoyed building and flying model airplanes. Later, he enjoyed building computers and meeting people as he prepared their taxes. He had many friends, but his greatest love was his wife and four daughters. They were his life and he dearly loved them. His grandchildren always had a special place in his heart and his sons-in-law were always available when called upon. He will be so greatly missed.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Monday at the Memorial Baptist Church, Olar, SC. with Rev. Dan Boineau and Rev. Charles Mosier officiating. Burial will follow in the Barnwell County Memorial Cemetery at the airport. Visitation will be held on Sunday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Mole Funeral Home.
He is survived by his loving wife, Betty Jean Collins Riddle; daughters, Phyllis Lynette Riddle (Johnny) Fulmer, Becky Ninette Riddle (Olin) Sanders Jr., Tracey Raenette Riddle (Timmy) Creech and Catherine Jeannette Riddle (Jody) Roberts; grandchildren, John Gregory Fulmer, Crystal Nicole Fulmer (Ben) Ray, Kenneth Steven Sanders, Nina Olivia Donahue, Caitlyn Jodi Roberts, Cody Edward Roberts and Brandon Dwight Grubbs; great-grandchildren, Victoria Lyne Walta, Valerie Grace Fulmer and Abigail Nicole Ray, all of Barnwell; brothers, Kenneth Avery "Roddy" (Corrie) Riddle of Leesville SC, Alan Randy (Linda) Riddle of Aiken SC, and Tommy Dale (Joye) Riddle of Clarksville VA. Roddy and Leon's family,
It has been a lot of years since we've seen Leon, but we remember him well from our days at Barnwell High School. I know that his passing is a huge loss for the Riddle family. I wanted Roddy and family to know that we are thinking of them during these sorrowful times. May God bless his soul and lighten the sadness for the family.

I am so sorry to hear of Leon's death. I did not realize he was so sick. We had just begun chatting on Facebook and remembering when we lived next door to each other. He was a good friend of my brother Charles Browning who died some years ago. He was anxious for me to place a picture on facebook that I have of him when he was teenager. He asked that I hurry and do this. I am so sorry that I did not get this done. I know that he will be greatly missed. I have lost a friend.

As a young child, I grew up next door to the Riddle family. My brother and Leon were always good friends. We had just started chatting on facebook. We always talked about those days and it truly saddens me about his death. Deanie Browning HOlland Albany, Ga
