James Hall Obituary

James David Hall ORANGEBURG - Memorial service for James David Hall, 65, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 15, 2014, at Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home. Mr. Hall died Saturday, April 12, 2014. Born in Columbia, he was a son of the late James Woodard Hall Jr. and Eunice Ruth Smith Hall. A U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam Conflict, he was an avid race car fan and enjoyed boating, fishing and hunting. Surviving are his wife, Donna Keith Harper Hall; daughter, Angie Miller (Mark) of Elgin; brothers and sisters, Larry Hall and Mike Hall, both of Blythewood, Kim Ballentine (Neil) of Columbia, Carla Hayworth (Herb) of Blythewood, Marty Hall (Terry) of Blythewood; nieces and nephews; one great-nephew; stepsons, William Sherrod of Missouri City, Texas, Keith Sherrod of St. Paul, Minn.; and three granddaughters. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Babcock Center, 2725 Banny Jones Avenue, West Columbia, SC 29270 or Oliver Gospel Mission, 1100 Taylor Street, PO Box 7791, Columbia, SC 29201.
