James Hendrix Obituary

James "Buddy" D. Hendrix, Jr. CAMDEN A memorial service for Buddy Hendrix, 72, will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at Harmony Baptist Church, with a reception to follow at the church. Rev. Tracy Hinson will officiate. A private burial will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the Shriner's Hospital. Buddy passed away on Saturday, September 1, 2018. Born on April 6, 1946 in Hartsville, S.C., he was the son of the late James David Hendrix, Sr. and Anna Dell Brown Hendrix. He loved drag racing and was always working on his cars. Surviving is his wife, Virginia Rae Hendrix; children, Linda Rae Clower (Ed) and Terry Lee Hendrix (Shauna Cobb); grandchildren, David, Daniel, Dylan and Lauren; sisters, Martha Ann Duncan and Dell Marie Stokes. He was predeceased by his sisters, Ina Bell Amerson and Linda Carolyn Price.
