What sadness I felt when my brother Earle called to tell me of Fuzzys home going--he was a special member of our family during his early basball days in North Augusta and my Mother and Dad greatly admired him and it was joy to watch him play the sport he so loved--those were special days in North Augusta that have remained wonderful memories to all of us. Please know you and your family are in my thoughts and I am sure Mom and Dad smiled when they saw Fuzzy--may the Lord comfort you all and cover you with then gentle wings of faith.

Penny, Sherry, Carter: So very sorry to learn from my dad about Fuzzy's death. I watched him grow from a cheerful athletic boy to a graceful athletic man. He brought great joy to all who met him and the last time I saw him was, as you can imagine, at a baseball game. I hope you find peace and comfort in the memories of the difference he made.

I was very saddened today to learn of "Fuzzy's" passing. While I only saw him on occasion the memories from our North Augusta Dixie Youth baseball days have lasted me for a lifetime. After striking out with three swings at "Fuzzy's" curve ball my Dad, our coach, asked me why I could not hit him...I gave Dad the bat and said you try. My Dad, like Jimmy Paxton's Dad, loved "Fuzzy" as one of his sons. The boys of '59 grew into some wonderful men and I know Dad is smiling as His team from 1959 is coming Home.

To the Floyd Family...

My condolences on the passing of "Fuzzy," he was a colleague for many years. Not only was he a wonderful resource in the aviation industry, but his knowledge of wood working and southwestern art (which we had a common interest in) always made our meetings and telephone conversations a pleasure. I will miss him. Prayers to you all at this time of loss.

Fuzzy was one of my best friend's growing up in North Augusta. I was HIS CATCHER with our World Series Championship Baseball Team. He was always a GREAT athlete and excelled at everything he ever did. Most of all, he was a great person who cared about people. He had an uplifting spirit who brought joy to everyone around him. He was another brother to me, and a fifth son to my Dad who always loved him too. My heart and prayers go out to his wonderful and loving family. The world will surely be less without him! We all love ya' Fuzz!
