Mac was a member of Lyttleton Street United Methodist Church where he was an active member of the choir and served on the Kershaw County Habitat for Humanity Board. He dedicated much of his time and expertise to the SC Forestry Association, acted as a liaison between the real world and the schools of Forestry at Clemson and NC State, and became a well sought after Forest Products Consultant for his wealth of knowledge in the field. Mac has spent the last decade restoring Broad Oaks, the 1826 family home place in Marlboro County. Mac is survived by his wife, Linda; daughter, Amy Westbury (Michael) of Columbia; brother, John Samuel Lupold of Columbus, GA; and his beloved dog, Teddy. Mac was predeceased by his son, Mac Lupold, Jr. Kornegay Funeral Home, Camden Chapel, is in charge of the arrangements.
