Maureen Griffin Albertine

December 3, 1942 - September 19, 2024

Columbia, South Carolina - Maureen Griffin Albertine, 81, of Columbia, SC, passed away on September 19, 2024, after a long and courageous battle with dementia. She was born on December 3, 1942, in Brooklyn, NY.

Maureen is survived by her daughter Nicole and son-in-law Robbie Schuldes, her sisters Beth Griffin and Carol Baker, and her daughter Anne Albertine. She was a loving grandmother to Nataly Albertine, Danielle Albertine, Aiden Schuldes, Ava Albertine, and Liam Schuldes, as well as a doting great-grandmother to Leona and Theo. Maureen was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Arnold Albertine, and her son, Christopher Albertine.

Throughout her life, Maureen had a passion for traveling, savoring great wine, and cherishing time with family and friends. Her zest for life and love for her family will be remembered by all who knew her.

A private celebration of life will be held later in the year to honor Maureen's memory. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Hospice of South Carolina in Maureen's name.

Maureen's warmth, love, and spirit will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all whose lives she touched.

Dunbar Funeral Home, Northeast Chapel, is assisting the family. Memories may be shared at www.dunbarfunerals.com.
