Gail (Reardon) Albertine, wife of Robert Albertine, passed away on June 20th surrounded by her family, after enduring a long struggle with dementia. Gail was born in Marlboro in 1934 and was the daughter of Dorothy and Walter Gaucher.
She graduated from Marlborough High School in 1956 and was a lifelong resident until 2019 when she moved to the Coleman House, a nursing and assisted living facility, in Northborough.
After graduating high school, she worked for Raytheon. After the birth of her two girls, she was a stay-at-home Mom for many years before returning to work at Koehler Mfg. Later in her life she began teaching ceramics for 28 years and was beloved by all her students.
She leaves her daughter Kimberly Coffey and her husband Kevin of Hopedale, MA, and her daughter Kristie Wagner and her husband Jim of Berlin, MA. Her beloved grandsons Ryan and Brendan Coffey of Hopedale, MA, her brother John Gaucher, and his fiancée Benny Rocadas of Sao Martinho do Porto, Portugal, her niece Michelle Davis of Upton, MA and her niece Danielle Gaucher of Millbury, MA as well as many friends.
Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, June 25, 2023, from 2:00-4:00 pm at the Slattery Funeral Home, Inc., 40 Pleasant Street, Marlborough, MA 01752. A funeral service will be held June 26, 2023, at 10:00 am at the funeral home. A burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Wilson Street, Marlborough.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the American Heart Association, Alzheimer's Association, or the American Stroke Association.
