Inman, South Carolina - Melissa Leigh Young Bray, 61, of Inman, died Saturday, September 4, 2021, at her residence. She was born July 30, 1960 in Williamsburg, VA, a daughter to Walter B. Young of Clemmons, NC and the late Janice L. Barrett Young.
A member of Lake Murray Presbyterian Church in Chapin, SC, Melissa was a great wife and mother. More than anything, she loved providing for her family and friends. She loved playing and listening to music, watching sports with family and friends, visiting the mountains, and watching the butterflies and birds. Melissa was a retired Vice President of Human Resources with Wells Fargo and was a graduate of Campbell University with a degree in Sociology.
Melissa is also survived by her husband of 38 years, David Russell Bray; her sons, Matthew Bray (Sylvie) of Taylors, SC and Tyler Russell Bray of Piedmont, SC; her grandchildren, Charlie and Maddie Bray; her brothers, Walter Young, Jr., of Emerald Isle, NC and Brian Young (Zanetta) of Clemmons, NC; and her four legged Boxer, Luna Ali.
A Memorial Service will be held 3:00 p.m. Thursday, September 9, 2021, at Floyd's Boiling Springs Chapel, 4161 Highway 9 North, Boiling Springs, SC 29316, conducted by the Rev. Dr. Michael Hoyt. The family will receive friends following the service.
