It has been 12 years since Nancy's death and I still miss her so much. It has been full of memories of her over the years and the memorial service we held at her home across the street. The food the neighbors brought was welcome to all Nancy's family, neighbors & friends. Her Mother, Mrs. Finn from St. Albans, West Virginia, her brother, Paul & sister, Trish and her neighbors in Belmont Estates neighborhood near Dutch Square in Columbia, S.C. Other friends were there as well and it was a good day of remembrance for all who attended. Her brick home has been through a transition but the trees in the front yard that her Dad planted long ago have grown tall and stately & gives wonderful shade to the house. We all loved her when she lived there and we love her still.

My deepest sympathy to all the family. There will be a great vacancy in our lives, but memories will be precious. I have been looking at pictures of Nancy and one was of her playing the piano at St. Andrews Baptist Church in the 2nd grade S.S. classroom where I taught. She was very talented! I remember going across the street to check out the latest winning Halloween outfit that she had created to wear to work at the bank. She even created one for me for our church fall festival. Martha Stewart in jail, remember. Only she could devise a box with slits at the face that fit on my head like Martha in jail. "It's not a good thing" was written on the box. Her real joy was remembering her family with gifts at Christmas and birthdays. She was very good at choosing great gifts. Her favorite time was her Mom's 80th birthday when all the family brought Mrs. Finn 80 gifts. what a great idea!
We'd been neighbors for 39 years, our children grew up together along with many others nearby the same ages; we enjoyed sharing grandchildren stories, attending community meetings & other events together, encouraging each other, picking up each others' mail during vacations, and knowing we were across the street from each other if needed. I will treasure my memories and our friendship over the years. May God comfort our hearts at this sad time!

Nancy and I worked together at SCN Bank. Not only were our cubicles side by side, we also shared the same first name and birthday. Nancy designed a logo for us: she was Nancy1 and I was Nancy2. Nancy made everyday fun! It was a joy knowing her. My sympathies to her family.
