He was such a wonderful role model. I met him at Irmo High School when I move there from another district to teach. I greatly admired his dedication and kindness. He will truly be missed by so many.

A fine man, officer, and mentor. Col. Sercer helped tremendously during my years at Irmo and my transition into the USAF. Always taught all of to Aim High, and he was right. Prayers for the family.

Col. Sercer was a wonderful person and was such a part of Irmo. My daughter, Catoncea' "Neicy" Brunson, was a part of the IHS JAFROTC. My prayers and thoughts are with the family.
