Violet Elizabeth Price Watson

Violet Price Watson LEESVILLE - Violet Elizabeth Price Watson passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Thursday, March 5, 2015 after a battle with Multiple Myeloma. Violet was born February 8, 1946 to Mavis Taylor Price and the late Trevor Hubert Price. She graduated from Batesburg-Leesville High School in 1964. She is survived by her husband of 48 years, W. Rondoll Watson, daughters and sons-in-law, Rhonda Watson (Dennis) Bedenbaugh and Dawn Watson (Tracy) Bedenbaugh, grandchildren, Zane Adam Bedenbaugh, Lane Watson Bedenbaugh, and Shayla Mae Bedenbaugh, all of Leesville. She is, also, survived by her mother, Mavis Price, brothers, Dwight and Bobby Price, all of Leesville, and a special niece, nephew-in-law, and great nieces, Eric, Torry Price, Ella Grace, and Sophie Price Dickey, of Lexington. Violet has been an active lifetime member of Wittenberg Lutheran Church of Leesville. She previously worked as a school bus driver and cafeteria worker for Lexington School District 3 and retired from United States Postal Service as a rural carrier in Leesville. She was a regular fishing lady at Price's Bridge for the 35 years they lived on Lake Murray. Violet, also, loved camping with friends and family especially at Edisto Beach, spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, cooking, baking, western square dancing, and feeding and watching her birds. She never met a stranger. Memorial Service will be 5:30 p.m., Monday, March 9, 2015 at Wittenberg Lutheran Church in Leesville, conducted by Reverend Michael Sherman. Members of the Young at Heart Sunday School will serve as Honorary Pallbearers. The family will receive friends after the service in the church commons area and other times at the residence.
