Kimberly Barber Wenzel was born to Cecil Lee Barber and the late Alice Faye Barber on Sept. 11, 1975. She departed this earthly life on April 20, 2022. She attended Bowman Gray School of Medicine as part of the dental assisting program and worked in the field as a dental assistant for 28 years. She loved her occupation and met many of her friends through her work. Wenzel was baptized and saved at Pinedale Christian Church on Jan. 7, 2018. She was gratefully led to this moment by some amazing friends and family that she cherished. Her faith was strong and instilled by her later mother, Alice Faye Barber, whom she missed so very much. Wenzel always prayed and sent well wishes for everyone in her life. Her family was always the true love of her life. Her children were her world and she always gave all she had to them. Her smile was contagious; there was never a dull moment in her presence. She was one of a kind and everyone loved her for it. She will be missed dearly. She leaves many behind to cherish her memories: her children, Hayleigh and Austin Cass; father of the children, Mark Cass; her father, Cecil L. Barber; two brothers, Scott and Jason Barber; many nieces and a nephew; Ashley, Morgan, Stephanie, Hanna, Bella, Samantha (Barber) and Grayson Doub. A service will be held in her memory on Sunday, May 1, beginning at 2 p.m., at Middlecross Baptist Church in Pfafftown. The family will host a reception immediately following to share memories and enjoy some of her favorites: barbecue and hushpuppies.
