Debora Hagar Obituary

Debora L. Hagar, 66, of Troy, NY, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 1st, 2025, at North Rehab and Nursing Center in Leesburg, Florida.

Born on February 16, 1959, in Attleboro, Massachusetts, Debora was the daughter of Kathleen Hagar (Sprigg) and the late Roger E. Hagar. She was a proud graduate of Attleboro High School, Class of 1977.

Debora was preceded in death by her father, Roger; her brother, Steven Hagar; and her sister, Cynthia J. Riel (Hagar). She now joins them in eternal rest.

Those left to cherish her memory include her beloved mother, Kathleen; her sister Patricia Stargensky (Hagar) and brother-in-law Daryl Stargensky of Waterford, NY; her nieces Caitlyn Murphy-Kennedy and her husband Shaun Kennedy of Gilbert, Arizona, and Carly Hunter (Stargensky) and her partner Steven Huter of Troy, NY; her nephew Steven Stargensky of Waterford, NY; her treasured great-nephews Grayson and Jack, and her great-niece Nora. Debora is also remembered with love by her brother-in-law Richard Riel and sister-in-law Mary Jane Riel of Mechanicville, NY.

Debora's warmth, quiet strength, and sense of humor left a lasting impression on all who knew her. Her love for family was unwavering, and her memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

A celebration of Debora's life will be held at a later date at the Mechanicville and Stillwater Elks Lodge in Mechanicville, New York. Her final resting place will be in her hometown of Attleboro, Massachusetts, beside her father, brother, and sister.
