Joseph McGrath Obituary
Joseph was born in Boston, MA and grew up in Dorchester. He graduated from Boston Technical High School in 1962. From 1965 – 1967 he proudly served in the United States Navy on the flight deck of the USS Intrepid. Following his military service he worked for Boston Edison Co. for many years until his retirement.
In addition to Francine, his loving wife of 49 years, Joseph is survived by three children: Andrew P. McGrath and wife Zoe of West Greenwich, RI, James R. McGrath of Framingham, MA, and Sarah M. McGrath of Bristol, VT; two brothers: Gerald F. McGrath and wife Marge, and Peter A. McGrath and wife Ann; six grandchildren: Ryan, Emerson, Lincoln, Jack, Isadora, Layla; and many beloved cousins, nieces, and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother James T. McGrath and sister Margaret A. Dupuis.
A visitation will be held in Chapman Funeral and Cremations 74 Algonquin Ave (Rte151) Mashpee, on Monday August 30, 2021 from 4:00pm to 7:00PM. A funeral mass will be celebrated in Christ the King Church 5 job's Fishing Rd. Mashpee on Tuesday August 31, 2021 at 11:00am. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery in Falmouth.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to American Lung Association National Direct Response Headquarters PO Box 756 Osceola WI 54020-0756.
