Kevin Doherty Obituary
Above all else, his first and greatest love was that shop, where riders from all over New England came for parts, repairs, and advice. Beyond the storefront, Kevin was a respected figure in the dirt-bike community, setting up his vending stand at race events and becoming a familiar, trusted face to racers and fans alike.
He delighted in sharing stories and troubleshooting engines with his customers, always ready with riding tips or a clever workaround to keep bikes running smoothly. Off the track, his larger-than-life personality shone through his off-beat Halloween costumes, spirited weekend dance outings and his impeccably sharp sense of style, he has always dressed to impress, whether in the shop or out on the town.
Family adventures were another of Kevin's passions. He and his children spent countless weekends camping at the "Biganuff" cabin in Heath, MA and he personally laid out and cleared riding trails sometimes only to ride them once.
Kevin is survived by his sons, Sean and Tylor Doherty; his step-son, Kevin Maccarone; his brother, Michael Doherty; and his sister, Shannon Mehrtens. He leaves behind his cherished grandchildren, Emma Doherty, Sean Doherty Jr., and Winter Doherty; girlfriend, Patricia Brockway. Kevin was preceded in death by his parents, Ronald and Elaine Doherty.
Visitation will be held on Monday, July 14th, 2025, at 4:00 pm at Duffy-Poule Funeral and Cremation Services, 20 Peck Street, Attleboro, MA. The funeral service will follow on Tuesday, July 15th, 2025, at 11:00 am at the same venue. Interment will take place at Norton Common Cemetery on Tuesday, July 15th, 2025, at 12:00 pm.

Dear Shannon and Mike,
So sorry to see that Kevin has passed. My prayers go out to you both. My memories of Peter St. are still fresh in my mind. From getting my first Honda 50cc mini so I could ride with Kevin with his Yamaha, going to Heath and getting to shoot a real rifle, those are a couple of the many memories that come to mind when I think of the Doherty family.
