Philomena "Phillie" Benedetti

1924 - 2021

Philomena "Phillie" Benedetti , formerly of Wrentham Ma passed away after a long illness on October 12, 2021 at the age of 96.
Phillie was born to Frank and Angelina Clerici on November 29, 1924. She is predeceased by siblings Rosina, Fred, Amelia, and Camilio. Phillie is survived by her sister Josephine and brother James. She loved all of her cousins, nieces and nephews.
Phillie was a warm, empathetic, and a strong accepting woman who brightened all the lives she touched. Her cherished husband Edward Benedetti predeceased her in 1999. Phillie leaves behind three children and their spouses; Mary Benedetti and her husband Bill O'Neill; Thomas Benedetti and his wife Anne Haraldsen; and Andrew Benedetti and his wife Elisa Benedetti. Phillie leaves seven wonderful grandchildren; Thomas Jr., Anthony, Justin, Jessica, Adam, Alayna, and Sara. Also, ten beloved great-grandchildren.
Phillie had a productive and extensive thirty-year career serving others. She was a supervisor at Wrentham State School, overseeing the care for disabled residents. Additionally, she spent over fifteen years as a volunteer at Wrentham Senior Center, was an active participant in her community and enjoyed being part of the Red Hatters. Phillie loved dancing, music, reading and visiting with family and friends. She was an amazing woman and will be greatly missed by all of those she touched.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Wednesday, October 20th from 4PM- 7PM at the R J Ross Funeral Home, 135 South Street, Wrentham, MA. A funeral service will be held Thursday, October 21st, 10:30 AM at the R J Ross Funeral Home. Interment to follow at Knollwood Memorial Park, 321 High St, Canton, MA.
