Richard Compton Obituary

Richard Norman Compton, age 79 passed away early morning on March 9, 2022

Richard Compton was born February 21, 1943 son of the late Norman and Helena Compton in Dedham, MA

He was married to the late Karen Compton and father to Sean Compton and Amy McCue, uncle to Blake Compton and Jill Dean and brother to the late Doug Compton.

Grandfather to Alyssa and Isabella Compton and Patrick, Allaire and Olivia McCue and father-in-law to Tracy Compton and Michael McCue.

He also leaves behind longtime friend and business partner Richard Maher.

Richard Compton was a graduate of North Attleboro High School class of 1962 and "Dick" also served his country in the United States Army. Dick was a small business owner of DC Door and Window company and Compton Operator Service originally in Plainville, MA winning many awards for excellence in garage door service and installation and as a leader from the Plainville Jaycees for his service to his community.

Dick was a resident of North Attleboro, Plainville and his last home in Wareham, MA where he passed at Tobey Hospital with his son and daughter by his side.

A celebration of Dick's life will be held at a later date, friends are encouraged to contact his son at [email protected] for details
