I went to look him up today, as I was thinking of him after all these years and wanted to reconnect. We were fellow drummers and music aficionados when in HS. To his family and friends: I wish you the richest measure of the comfort of God in your loss. My only regret is that I didn't reach out sooner in time.

How is it possible it's been two years?
In some ways, it feels like a lifetime, and in others, like it just happened yesterday. The grief isn´t as sharp as it once was, I guess. But it´s still always there, just different now. I still think of you every single day. I still catch myself wanting to ask you for advice, or thinking, "Dad would have loved this."
Kyle and I are doing our best to live in ways that would make you proud. Everything we do, we carry you with us, in the choices we´re making, in the things we´re building, in the laughter we still share remembering you. You´re a part of everything we´re doing.
I miss you more often than I care to admit, and I really wish you were here. I hope somehow you know how much you're loved, how much we still talk about you, and how you're still such a big part of our lives every day.
Love you always,
Jessi

It´s hard to believe it´s already been a year since you left us. Time has moved on, but it certainly hasn´t made missing you any easier. I still catch myself thinking I´ll hear my phone buzz with some Thanksgiving joke, or hearing you gripe about how we´re celebrating your birthday right alongside Christmas. I miss the unexpected moments, like seeing your truck roll into the driveway at the shop out of the blue.
I think about you every day, Dad. I hope you´re at peace, and I hope you know how deeply you´re loved and missed.

Steve and I were classmates at Feehan (75). He always had something funny to say and it made me smile and laugh. Thank you, Steve. I´m so happy that you had your family and lived in the place of your dreams. Love to your family from Arizona.

To my beloved Dad,
Your presence in my life was a gift that I'll forever cherish. Your kindness, unwavering love, and quiet strength shaped every facet of who I am. You were not just my father; you were my beacon of light, the wellspring of wisdom, and a perpetual source of encouragement. I will certainly miss being told, "You're so much like your father!"-it made me feel immensely proud and connected to you in the most beautiful way.
The memories we shared-your infectious laughter, the invaluable lessons you taught, the moments of joy, and even the challenges we overcame-are eternally etched into the very core of my being.
Your passing has left a profound void, but your legacy of love and resilience will continue to inspire me. May your spirit find its peaceful place, and may the memories we hold bring comfort to our hearts during this difficult time.
Forever your sprout,
Jessi

Both Steve and I graduated from the same class of 75. While working on an old car in his driveway Steve slipped and got a bad bloody gash on his knee that was going to need stiches. As I was driving him to Sturdy Hospital, he took the blood-soaked towel and wrapped it around his head. When I asked why he wrapped the towel around his head he explained that the hospital would move him to the front of the line if they thought he had a head injury. When we walked into the ER it didn´t take long for the nurse to catch on to Steve's deception. Surprisingly the nurse got a laugh out of Steve´s prank. Lots of great memories... I´ll miss him.

I am saddened to hear of the passing of such a sweet man. We recently reconnected and I'm so glad we did. Steve, I will miss you so much, you were such a funny, loving guy. What memories I have of when we hung out with the Arthur Treacher's (etc) gang! RIP .
