Sonjie Cleodoshia Canaday Campbell

October 10, 1950 - March 24, 2025

ROWESVILLE - Sonjie Cleodoshia Canaday Campbell, 74, wife of Carl J. Campbell, Jr., entered into eternal rest on Monday, March 24, 2025, at the St. George Healthcare Center.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, March 28, 2025, at Cattle Creek Community Church (Cattle Creek Campground) with the Rev. George Gain officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The Pallbearers will be Tommy Rickborn, Joshua Gruber, Joshua Crawford, Justin Wiles, Jim Jeffers, Cameron McAlhany and Mark Hood.

The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to the time of the service.

Sonjie was born on October 10, 1950, in Rowesville, to the late Walter Fred Canaday and Florrie Mollie Summers Canaday. She graduated from Bowman High School and Limestone College. She retired as a Senior Safety Specialist at Santee Cooper. She was a member of Cattle Creek Community Church; and was predeceased by her son, Joseph Shannon Martin.

Surviving is her husband, Carl J. Campbell, Jr., Rowesville; brother, Albert (Lynn) Canaday, Vance; sisters, Florrie Joanne C. Hood, Freddie C. (Mike) Infinger, Deborah C. (Will) Wiles, all of Rowesville; stepchildren, John Campbell, III, Lori C. (Hugh) Myers, Carla (Martha) Campbell and Joye Campbell; grandchildren, Joseph (Leah) Martin, Sally Martin; great-grandchildren Autumn and JJ Martin; four step grandchildren; and four step-great grandchildren; special family, Cindy Martin.

Memorials may be made to Cattle Creek Community Church, care of Wilford Wiles, 323 Classic Road, Rowesville, SC 29133.
