Annie,
So sorry to hear about your loss. When I heard the news, the service had already passed. I would have come otherwise. I am so glad I got a chance to meet her and you. My prayers go out to your family and friends. Laura Morgan

I hoped and planned to attend the service for Charlotte; however, when I called on Sunday the St. Clair County Alternative Transportation Service, I was told that the Madison CountyTransit Service, to which I would have transferred in Granite City, was not open on Sunday, so I could not make the reservation for the trip to Alton on Monday. I was very sorry, especially after Char was so kind and gracious as to make the laborious journey here with Ann and Marilyn just a few weeks ago. I was very honored by that visit.
Now I (we) will pray to your Aunt Char, about whom I have heard since I first knew your family. Clearly, she has been a blessed presence in all of your lives. I recall a watercolor painting that Ann made of impatiens in your aunt's garden.
God bless all of you!

Oh Char...you were such a wonderful woman and mentor. I loved playing in your leaves before you raked them...You always had a smile... You will be missed my dear.
