Jacquelin Hellrung Obituary
Wood River - Jacquelin S. Hellrung, 77, passed away January 29, 2024 at her residence.
Born March 19, 1946 in New Albany, IN, she was the daughter of Rush and Margaret (Miller) Byrley.
Jacquelin had worked as a waitress/hostess for Argosy (Alton Belle Casino) and Red Lobster as well as owning a local business.
She married Dennis Hellrung who preceded her in death.
Surviving are a son, David Poe of Wood River; four grandchildren, Kathy Messerly, Kristen Poe, Anna Poe, Alex Owens; a brother, Raymond Byrley; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Raymond Poe; and two sisters, Sally Ramage and Rebecca Kelly.
Cremation rites were accorded.
A Celebration of Life Memorial will be held from 1-3 pm, Sunday, February 18 at the Rox-Arena, 2 Park Dr., Roxana, IL.
Marks Mortuary in Wood River in charge of arrangements.

My sincerest sympathy to Ray and all the family.
What I remember as a child is when the family lived on Brushey Grove. We would sometimes come over but Jackie didn´t want us to mess up the house, so we would go outside.
I always thought Jackie was so glamorous.
