JANIS LUTZ

ELKHORN, WIS. — Janis Yvonne Lutz, 85, formerly of the Alton area, died at 8:31 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 18, 2014, at Elmhurst Hospital in Elmhurst, Ill.

She was born March 31, 1929, in Alton, the daughter of the late Juluis E. and Nellie E. (Becker) Tillman.

She worked as a bookkeeper for her husband's company, CW Lutz Leather Company, and was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Godfrey.

On Dec. 1, 1967, she married Carlton W. Lutz in Godfrey, and he preceded her in death on July 25, 2003.

Surviving are a niece and nephew, Pamela Juliann Wojcik (Michael) of Bartlett, Ill., and Michael March Sr. of San Diego, Calif., three great nephews, Adam and Matthew Wojcik, and Michael Marsch Jr. (Josie), one great niece, Hannah Wojcik, two great-great nieces, Megan and Emily Wojcik, and one great-great nephew, Joshua Wojcik.

She was preceded in death by one sister, Vivian Marsch, and brother-in-law LeRoy Marsch.

Visitation will be from 9 until time of funeral service at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 27, 2014, at Gent Funeral Home in Alton. Burial will be at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto.

Memorials may be made to Faith Lutheran Church in Godfrey, Ill.

I was in a car pool to St. Louis from Alton and
Carlton was the driver for several years. He got
married around that time. Sorry to hear that he
also has passed away. Also for your mother,
