Nathan Heard Obituary

Heard, Nathan Eugene ESCONDIDO -- Nathan Eugene Heard, 82, passed away on November 17, 2014 at Tri City Hospital. Nat served for 23 years in the United States Marine Corps and retired at the rank of Captain. He was a veteran of the Korean and Vietnam conflicts. He dedicated his life to Kiwanis International and serving the children of the world. He was past president of the Escondido Kiwanis from 2001 to 2002 and director of the Kiwanis Key Club for over 10 years. Nat is survived by his four daughters; ten grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; five brothers; one sister; and his beloved dog, Keeper. Service to be held at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, November 25, 2014 at Emmanuel Faith Community Church, 639 E. 17th Ave, Escondido, CA. Interment will be at Oak Hill Cemetery, Escondido followed by a fellowship at Emmanuel Faith Community Church. In lieu of flowers the family requests donation be made to the Kiwanis Club of Escondido (Foundation) in memory of Nat Heard.
