I am shocked to hear only last eve of Rick's death. A co-worker at Catholic Charities; friend. I am lost for words but I know Rick Faccin is with his God whom he served so very well. A truly human being and charitable...Rest in Peace, dear Rick.

I grew up with Rick he was a dear friend and will be surely missed We were really close played a lot of neighborhood sports together. Got him his first job after high school at Olin after they told me he had a job. He appeared at my back door with a case of beer. He said his mom told him to bring the beer up for me. Lol

As a co-worker of Rick at Catholic Charities in the 80's he was untiring in attending to youth in the foster care system. I am sure his effort impacted many youth and families.
Rest in Peace.

Some words come to my mind about Rick
1. Organizer - whether it was a rooftop day at Wrigley for Cards vs Cubs or all inclusive night at Busch
2. Determination- last 18 months just a roller coaster - in and out of hospitals, surgeries, extended care facilities- he never ever had the defeated look
3. Provider- he took care of people- citizens of Madison county, workers who cared for him- I remember he bought 100 tacos at least twice for his caregivers at local facilities
4. And let´s not forget STUBBORNNESS!!! He was going home to live at his house . PERIOD - end of story
He worked hard his whole life- and guess what? He played hard too.
I was thrilled to be a part of his journey .
RIP Rick.

Rick's friendship never varied, for he was forthright, loyal, and caring. Through sports, Rick proved his commitment of support to friends competing was sincere and enthusiastic. His spirit lives on and enhances the doctrine of faith he sustained. God Bless Rick, his family and friends.

I have worked with Rick since 1987 and remained great friends all these years. He would come to Las Vegas to visit yearly and we had so many great memories! He could make everyone laugh and have a great time! He was a true friend who was loved!
