Timothy Raymer
HARTFORD
Timothy Stephen Raymer, 73, passed away 4:10 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 7, 2014, at St. John Hospital in Springfield.
Born in Alton on Aug. 4, 1940, he was the son of Claude and Phyllis (Culver) Raymer.
He had been a manager in the Corigating Department of Owens-IL Glass for over 25 years before working for Fairfax Mobile Home Supply.
A U.S. army veteran, he was a member of the Sons of the American Revolution; Lewis and Clark Historical Society and a volunteer at the Lewis and Clark Center Discovery Store.
He married the former Carolyn S. Waterman on Aug. 27, 1962. She died Nov. 9, 2007.
Surviving are two sons, Kevin Raymer of Wilsonville, Jason Raymer of Hartford; and three grandchildren, Rebecca and Natalie Raymer, Avery Raymer.
He was preceded in death by four brothers, Burton, Clayton, Kenneth and James Raymer; and two sisters, Della Hough and Edna Hutchins.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Friday, Jan.. 10. 2014, at Marks Mortuary in Wood River where services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 11. Father Tom Liebler will officiate.
Burial will follow in Wanda Cemtery in South Roxana.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
