Bethalto - Wanda L. Westerhold, 85, passed away January 1, 2025 at BJC Evelyn's House in Creve Coeur, MO.
Born July 9, 1939 in Ector County, TX, she was the daughter of Forrest Arthur and Bernadine Lee (Porter) Reese.
Wanda graduated in 1957 from Alton High School with honors. She proudly worked for Shell Oil Co. as an administrative secretary for over 36 years. After retirement, she enjoyed activities with her fellow retirees. In her spare time, she enjoyed cooking, baking and watching Cardinals baseball, where Opening Day was a favorite. She loved spending time with her grandkids and attending their sports activities. She definitely loved to shop. Wanda was also a huge animal lover.
Survivors include her daughter, Dana (Christopher) Eyler of O'Fallon, MO; her grandchildren who were the love of her life, Zachary, Alexandra, and Catherine Eyler; a close niece, Claudia Westerhold-McDaniel; a special cousin, Maureen (Porter) Miller; and numerous other nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Charles Arthur Reese.
Memorial visitation will be Friday, Jan. 10 at Paynic Home for Funerals from 11 a.m. until services begin at 1 p.m.
