Andrew Lisko Obituary

Andrew Lisko, 79, of Throop, died Monday morning at Moses Taylor Hospital, Scranton, after an illness. His loving wife of 47 years is the former Juliann Romanchick.

Born in Scranton, son of the late Andrew and Helen Zawicki Lisko, he was educated in Scranton schools and honorably served his country in the Army. He was a member of Blessed Sacrament Parish at St. Anthony's Church in Throop and was a longtime member of the church choir. He was employed for many years at Chamberlain Manufacturing in Scranton and the former Gould Battery in Dunmore before his retirement.

He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and brother who loved fishing and spending time with his family and friends.

In addition to his wife, surviving are three daughters, Michelle Hospodor, Throop; Lisa Ann Lisko and companion, Richard Baglivo, Throop; and Andrea Osman and husband, Jeffrey, Olyphant; six grandchildren, Heather, David, Andrew, Justin, Gabriella and Isabelle; two sisters, Betty Van Leuven, Lake Ariel; and Helene Oakes, Glenside; two brothers, Daniel and wife, Paula Primich, Olyphant; and Michael Primich, Throop; and several nieces and nephews.

He was also preceded in death by one sister, Jean Walsh.

The funeral will be Thursday at 12:15 p.m. from the John J. Turko & Sons Funeral Home, 402 Boulevard Ave., Dickson City, with Mass of Christian Burial at 12:30 in Blessed Sacrament Parish at St. Anthony's Church, Rebecca Street, Throop, to be celebrated by Monsignor Michael J. Delaney, pastor. Interment with military honors will follow in St. Anthony's Cemetery, Dickson City. Friends may call Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m.

5 years dad. I can't believe it. It seems like yesterday that I told you I was having the 'twinnies'. I've been out fishing this year, thinking of you and that one that 'got away'
