Andrew Martinelli Obituary

Andrew A. Martinelli Sr., 48, of Dickson City, passed away Saturday night at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Wilkes-Barre, where he had been a heart patient.
Born in Peckville, he was the son of Delores Hudak Martinelli, Dickson City, and the late William Martinelli. He was a 1987 graduate of Valley View High School and was employed at the former Mayflower Manufacturing and presently at Hendricks Manufacturing, Carbondale. Andrew was a social member of the Eynon American Legion and had been an avid bowler.
He leaves behind one son, Andrew A. Jr,, West Scranton; one sister, Dorie Michalik and husband, Greg, St. Petersburg, Fla.; two brothers, Bill Martinelli and wife, Colleen, Dickson City; and Gery Martinelli and wife, Cheryl, Scott Twp.; his girlfriend, Dolores Rios, Scranton; his former wife, Michalena (Kowalski) Martinelli, West Scranton; uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
A blessing service will be held on Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. by the Rev. Deacon Carmine Mendicino in the Edward J. Chomko Funeral Home, 262 Railroad Ave., West Scranton. Interment will follow in Cathedral Cemetery.
Viewing for family and friends will be on Tuesday, 5 to 8 p.m. in the Edward J. Chomko Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, contributions are preferred to the American Heart Association, 613 Baltimore Drive, Suite 3, Wilkes-Barre, PA 18702, or at www.donatenow.heart.org
