Blanche Pavlovicz Obituary

Blanche Pavlovicz of Scranton died Wednesday in Moses Taylor Hospital. She was the wife of Michael Pavlovicz. The couple had been married for 59 years.

Born in Elizabeth, N.J., daughter of the late Albert and Hazel Weeks Brothers, she was a member of St. Patrick's Church.

She was educated in Elizabeth, N.J., public schools. Blanche enjoyed arts and crafts and puzzles.

Also surviving are five sons, Arthur Brothers, Albert Pavlovicz and Wayne Pavlovicz, all of Scranton; Donald Pavlovicz, New Jersey; and Jeff Pavalovicz, Peckville; two daughters, Brenda Austin, New Jersey; and Dawn Everett, Exeter; three sisters, Betty Cottrell, Scranton; Ruthann Munger, New Jersey; and Pauline Buffiano, California; three brothers, Harold Brothers, Georgia; Edward Brothers, MacAdoo; and Albert Brothers, New Jersey; 14 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was also preceded in death by a son, George Pavlovicz; and two sisters, Ann Mae Brothers and Joan Brothers.

A funeral service will be held Friday at 8 p.m. in the Thomas J. Hughes Funeral Home Inc., 1240 St. Ann's St., Scranton, by the Rev. Stephen Krowonkta, assistant pastor, St. Patrick's Church. Interment, private at the family's convenience. Friends may call Friday from 4 to 8 p.m.
