David L. Correll, 68, of Lenoxville, died Thursday at Regional Hospital of Scranton after a courageous battle with Parkinson's disease. His wife is the former Margaret M. Mann Correll. They were married May 22, 1976.
Born Jan. 26, 1953 in Carbondale, he was the son of the late Edgar and Marjorie Lloyd Correll. David was a 1970 graduate of Benjamin Franklin High School, Carbondale, and worked as a produce clerk and manager for numerous local grocery chains. After his retirement, he worked part time as a driver for Autopart International, Scranton.
He is a member of the Lenoxville United Methodist Church and is a co-founder, along with his wife, of Spark Gospel Singers. He loves music, especially from the '50s and '60s decades. David was a real jokester and loved spending time and playing cards with his family every night.
He is also survived by three daughters, Robin Correll of Lenoxville, Tracy Evanusa and husband, Sam of Browndale, and Elizabeth Littman and husband, Tim of Lenoxville; two sons, Edward Correll of Lenoxville, and Eric Correll and companion, Heather Rudy of Bloomsburg; eight grandchildren, Aalyhia, Alana, Timothy, Andrew John, Charles, Alexander, Evie and Etta; a sister, Nancy Snyder of Lenoxville; a sister-in-law, Darlene Correll of Florida and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by four brothers, Edward, Walter, Eugene and James Correll; two brothers-in-law, John "Fuzzy" Snyder and John Mann Jr.; and a sister-in-law, Jean Correll.
A funeral will be held Monday at 5 p.m. from the Shifler-Parise Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 18 Airport Road, Clifford, celebrated by Pastor Lucas R. Taylor of the First Universalist Church, Brooklyn. Due to inclement weather, interment will be held at a later date in the Willow View Cemetery, Clifford.
A viewing will be held at the funeral home from 3 to 5 p.m.

I was sad to hear about the passing of Dave. Made me remember the times spent together as kids. The youngest Correll had to entertain the twins. My condolences.
