David Paul Kendall, 52, of Avoca, passed away Friday, May 20, 2022, at his home. Born in Erie, Pa., on May 11, 1970, he was a son of the late Clinton L. Kendall and Alice E. Parra.
David worked as a supervisor in the filing department of workers compensation at the state office in Scranton.
He was a member of the Queen of the Apostles Parish, Avoca. David loved shopping, especially at the Hallmark Store and was an avid collector of their ornaments and Precious Moments dolls. He also enjoyed going to flea markets and listening to Olivia Newton-John. He was a kind and generous man and will be greatly missed by his family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters, Anna Katherine and Susan Patricia.
Left to cherish his memory are brother, Clinton Kendall, Avoca; sisters, Maureen Tresenreiter, Milford; and Mary Spadaccio, Forest Hill, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A viewing will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Kniffen O'Malley Leffler Funeral & Cremation Services, 728 Main St., Avoca.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday at Queen of the Apostles Church, 715 Hawthorne St., Avoca. Officiating will be the Rev. Phillip J. Sladicka. Please go directly to the church if attending. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery.
