David J. McAndrew, 66, of Carbondale died Thursday at Hospice of the Sacred Heart, Dunmore, surrounded by his family.
Born in Carbondale, he was the son of the late Joseph and Mary Connell McAndrew. Dave was a graduate of Benjamin Franklin High School, Carbondale. Dave has had several jobs in his career, most recently working as a plumber for Jamie Walsh Heating & Cooling, Carbondale.
Dave was an avid sports fan and he especially enjoyed hunting, fishing and watching the Yankees, Notre Dame and the Raiders.
A special thank you is given to Dave's sisters, Frances and Mary Jo, for staying with him and caring for him in his final days. The family would like to thank Hospice of the Sacred Heart for their compassionate care of Dave.
He is survived by his three children, Joseph C. McAndrew, Kristie Beaudin, Nathan McAndrew; three siblings and their spouses, Mary Jo Nayduch and Basil, Frances McAndrew and Peter Smith, and John McAndrew and Marion Hoffman; eight grandchildren, Matthew, Brayden, Skyler, Ahrianna, Jaycee, Caleb, Noah and Quinn; nieces and nephews.

My deepest condolences to the entire family. I knew Dave from the time we were in grade school until now. He was one of the nicest friends anyone was lucky to have. Always a great smile and hug whenever you saw him. He´ll be missed by everyone he knew. Gone to soon. Rest in peace.
