Elaine Llewellyn Obituary

Elaine Terzoni Llewellyn, 74, of Peckville, formerly of Jessup, died Wednesday evening at Regional Hospital of Scranton.

Born in Jessup, she was the daughter of the late Attilio and Angeline Galli Terzoni. She was a graduate of Jessup High School and Marywood College, where she earned a B.A. degree in elementary and special education. She also attended the University of Scranton. Elaine taught first grade in Binghamton, N.Y., Dalton Elementary and Valley View School District before her retirement. She also taught special education, preschool and the physically handicapped for NEIU at Elk Lake, Easter Seals and North Pocono Middle School.

She was a member of St. Mary's Assumption Church, Jessup, and most recently of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Peckville, and its Altar and Rosary Society. She was also a member of the PSEA and NEA, WBIC bowling Association and the Penn State Nittany Lions Club.

She was a loving mother, nonna, sister and aunt who always put her family above herself. A true gentle spirit, she will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her strong faith in God was very evident in the way she lived her life. She loved and sacrificed for her family her entire life.

The family would like to thank Dr. Anees Fogley, the ICU and 9 East staff at RHS, for their wonderful care and compassion.

Surviving are two loving daughters, Kimberly Ann Feldman and husband, Daniel, Flanders, N.J.; and Molly Kay Dougher, Peckville; four grandchildren, Emily Elizabeth and Hannah Grace Feldman, James Michael Sedlak and Kalee Ann Biglin; great-grandchildren, Savannah and Andrew Joseph Sedlak; two sisters, Lenore Latarewicz and husband, Edward; and Terri Pettinato and husband, Glenn, both of Clarks Summit; a brother, Peter Terzoni, Jessup; a niece, Maria; and nephews, Michael and Matthew Pettinato; several cousins.

The funeral will be Tuesday from Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Peckville, with Mass at 9:30 a.m. Interment will be at a later date at St. John's Cemetery, Jessup. Friends may call Monday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the James M. Margotta Funeral Home, 1019 Main St., Peckville.
