Amen Ethel Amen
Who will I write to in the middle of the night now?! Please all you children, whose mama loved cooking for you all when you came in droves, find the apron I sent, created especially for Ethel, by my sister, Sandi Dutton of FancyApronStrings.com, after she, too, fell in love with Rosebud and Red Flannel. Note the applique in ...red flannel on that rosy old-timey apron. Wear it and keep the oven warm in your mom's spirit. She was a good friend to me for a few years, as my life's transitions rocketed on. We wrote back and forth and enjoyed sharing our stories. Amen Ethel Amen

Our children have lost a very gifted author. Thank you Ethel for sharing your gift, the art of writing. My deepest sympathies go out to all of her beloved family. Ethel will be missed by all who had the pleasure to know her personally or who had the pleasure of reading her stories.

Hearing Ethel's name after many years of not being in touch reminded me of my delight in her as a person and in her writing, especially her Once upon a Time Saints
