Frank Foote Obituary

Frank H. Foote of Gouldsboro, formerly of the Tripp Park section of Scranton, died Saturday at the Lackawanna County Health Care Center following an illness. He was married for over 54 years to the former Thelma "Jean" Evans, who died Sept. 12, 2007.

Born in Scranton, son of the late Frank and Susan Feddics Foote, he was educated in Scranton schools and before his retirement was employed by the Scranton School District. He had previously worked for more than 32 years at the A&P Warehouse of Scranton. He was a member of Union Lodge 291 Free and Accepted Masons.

Frank dearly loved his three daughters and was extremely proud to be seen with them at all times. His entire family was the most important thing in his life he loved them all very much. He also had a deep and profound love for his Lord, Jesus Christ.

The family would like to extend a very special thank you to Dr. Tracy Galardi, the staff at the Lackawanna County Health Care Center and the Southern Care Hospice, especially "Chris the Big Guy."

Surviving are three daughters, Cherrie Bentler and her husband, Larry, Gouldsboro; Debra J. Colarossi and her husband, Phillip, Clarks Green; and Francine Edmondson and her husband, Gary, Gouldsboro; nine grandchildren, Tami Gillette, Brandi Emerson, Shawnna Emerson, P.J. Colarossi, Corey Colarossi, Richard Edmondson, Cherrie Vosburg, Nicholas Edmonson and Dillon Colarossi; seven great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

He was also preceded in death by a sister, Margaret Foote.

Funeral services will be Tuesday at 7 p.m. in the Solfanelli-Fiorillo Funeral Home Inc., 1030 N. Main Ave., Scranton, with the Rev. John Hardman-Zimmerman, chaplain of the Southern Care Hospice, officiating. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
