James Goodall, 58, Scott Twp., passed away Oct. 12 at Geisinger Danville Hospital after a brave battle with cancer. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert. He is survived by his daughter, Brooke and her mother, Christine, Port Trevorton, Pa. He is also survived by his mother, Judy, Scott Twp.; his sister, Terri Kopa and her husband Jerry, Mayfield; his brother, Jeffrey Goodall-Williams and his husband Dan, Mayfield; nephew, Michael Kopa, his wife Shawna and great-nephew, Aidan, Blakely; uncles, aunts and cousins.
For most of his life, he was employed as a truck driver. He was an extremely hard worker who was always valued by his employers. He was a tireless worker, even working while ill, until it became physically impossible to do so. He was a proud father, loving son and supportive brother who put the needs of family above his own. He enjoyed playing golf, watching football and loved spending time with his beloved dog Maggie and cat Sadie. Of course his daughter Brooke was the light of his life and the main reason he fought his disease so courageously. He frequently reminisced about the old days and shared funny family stories. He had a great sense of humor and he made those around him laugh, even in the most difficult times.
