Jeffrey Buck, 23, of Scott Twp., passed away unexpectedly on Friday, Feb. 9, 2024, at home.
Born in Scranton, he was the son of Denise Walsh Kroptavich, Scott Twp., and the late Jeffrey Buck. He was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Peckville. Jeff was a graduate of Mid Valley High School, where he served as a class vice president, and he received a BA degree in communications from Marywood University. At present, he had enrolled in courses to become a cardiac ultrasound technician, along with working for LIFE Geisinger.
Jeffrey left behind a lifetime of memories we could celebrate. Jeffrey was a bright light in everyone's lives; his smile lit up a room. Jeffrey was strong-willed and stubborn at times, but he also had an enormous heart and a great sense of humor. He was very passionate about the things he loved and believed in, like dinosaurs. Jeffrey enjoyed playing video games, hanging out with his friends and being the Eagles' #1 fan. He loved Marvel movies and was a Spider-Man fanatic. Jeffrey was very outgoing and sociable. He played only a season of high school football and two seasons of track and field before finding his passion and love of the arts when he joined the drama club in high school. He performed many roles in "Les Mis" and was the mayor in "The Music Man." Jeffrey excelled academically and was working on what he wanted for his future. He will be remembered for all the love he shared with his friends, family and his girlfriend, his love and his bestie, Ashley. He truly loved everyone in his life - and if you were that person in his life, you knew it. He will be missed dearly.
Surviving besides his mother are his mother's companion, Kenneth Srebro, Scott Twp.; a sister, Aleysia DeLeo and husband, Daniel, Peckville; a niece, Eleanor Margaret DeLeo; maternal grandmother, Ethel Perry, Olyphant; stepsiblings, Kendra Srebro, Brooklyn, N.Y.; and Max Srebro, Dickson City; girlfriend, Ashley Reiner, South Abington Twp.; maternal aunts, Brenda Walsh; and Trisha Wilmot and husband, Dave, Old Forge; paternal uncle, Lawrence Buck and wife, Cindy, Peckville; paternal aunts, Roseann McCormick, North Carolina; Brenda Smith, Peckville; and Christine Norton and husband, Greg, North Carolina; nieces, nephews and cousins.
