Jeffrey Ganz, 65, a resident of South Scranton, died Monday evening at Dunmore Health Care Center. His wife of 43 years is the former Diane Pregnar.
Born in Scranton, he was the son of the late Herbert and Elizabeth Mincher Ganz. While residing in New York state, he attended the Hornell School District. He was a member of St. Mary of the Assumption Church until its closure. He was a retired truck driver for Old Dominion Trucking. Jeffrey enjoyed fishing and riding his Harley. He was a devoted husband and a great father and grandfather.
Also surviving are his two sons, Jacob Ganz Sr., and fiancée, Milissa Mitchell, Albrightsville; and Lucas Ganz and wife, Tracey, Moscow; a daughter Kolina Ganz and fiancé, Ryan Waters, Duryea; six grandchildren, Jacob Jr., Gabriel, Elizabeth, Dylan and Julia Ganz, and Jackson Waters; nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by a brother, Joseph Ganz; and a sister, Linda Stilson.
A blessing service will be conducted Saturday at 1 p.m. in the August J. Haas Funeral Home Inc., 202 Pittston Ave., with the Rev. Jonathan Kuhar officiating. Interment, private at the convenience of the family.
