John Arrigan Obituary

John F. Arrigan, 79, of Binghamton, N.Y., and formerly of Pleasant Mount, died Saturday at home. His wife is the former Mary McGinnis. They would have celebrated their 57th anniversary in May.

Born Aug. 26, 1942, in Carbondale, he was the son of the late John and Mary LeStrange Arrigan. Prior to retirement, John worked at Farview State Hospital. He was a member of St. Katharine Drexel Parish, Pleasant Mount. His greatest joys were spending time with his grandchildren.

The family would like to extend a thank you to the private nurses, aides and hospice nurses for the compassionate care given to John.

Also surviving are five daughters, Patricia Bendyk, Ellen Wolf, Kathleen Zack, Michelle McHale and Ann Ingrassia; three sons, John, Patrick and William Arrigan; 22 grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

A memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday at 10 a.m. in St. James Church, 361 Great Bend Turnpike, Pleasant Mount. Visitation at the church from 9 a.m. until Mass time.

Memorial contributions may be made in John's name to the donor's favorite charity.
