Jordan Longacre Obituary

Jordan Longacre, 22, of Jackson Township, began his celebration in Glory with his Lord and Savior on September 1, 2015. He is the son of M. Alan and Helen Sheldon Longacre.

He is also survived by two brothers, Adam Longacre and fiancée, Hollie Green; and Samuel Longacre; grandparents, Mark and Ruth Longacre; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Jordan was predeceased by his grandparents, Harold and Elizabeth Sheldon, an aunt, Melody Longacre, and a cousin, Ian Longacre.

Jordan was an avid outdoorsman, skilled hunter and fisherman. He could often be found sharing his knowledge with family and friends. Jordan fought a valiant battle against substance abuse and addiction and found great strength in Celebrate Recovery at Bridgewater Church and Freedom Farm Ministries, Boone, N.C. Jordan was passionate about living life in recovery and finding ways to share his new found faith with others.

A celebration of his life will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, September 5, 2015, at the South New Milford Baptist Church. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. on Friday at the Tuttle-Yeisley Funeral Home, and also from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorial donations to Celebrate Recovery Bridgewater Church, 107 Church Street, Montrose, PA 18801 or Freedom Farm Ministries 3109 US-421, Boone, NC 28607.

Helen and Alan, we were shocked to learn of Jordan's passing, and are praying for you and your family. We were in Texas for a conference, or we would have been there at the calling hours to support you, and love on you. We are praying for God's comfort, strength and grace to carry you through this difficult time of your lives. Even though Jordan has seen the face of Jesus, it's those left behind picking up the pieces, so know that we love you and are praying for you. Sending hugs.
