Joseph A. Gisolfi Sr. of Taylor, formerly of Scranton, passed away Monday, Feb. 15, at Regional Hospital of Scranton. His wife of 58 years is the former Grace Killino.
Born in Scranton, he was the son of the late Anthony and Mary Panunzio Gisolfi. Joseph proudly served his county in the United States Army and continued his service in the National Guard. Before his retirement, he was employed as an IT manager for several area companies.
He enjoyed doing various projects around his house and garden. He was also an avid outdoorsman. He was loved and will be missed by all that knew him.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are a daughter, Maria Leopard and husband, Joseph, Taylor; a son, Joseph Jr. and wife, Mollie, Duryea; two grandsons, Noah Leopard and Gavin Gisolfi; a brother, Anthony, Taylor; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, John.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday with Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in St. Lucy's Church, 949 Scranton St. Family and friends may pay their respects at the church starting at 10 a.m. until the time of the Mass. Please be advised face coverings are required and social distancing will be observed. Interment at Cathedral Cemetery will follow.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Lucy's Church, 949 Scranton St., Scranton, PA 18504; or to St. Joseph's Center, 2010 Adams Ave., Scranton, PA 18509.
