Kathleen Grace (Videtti) Wright, 54, of Clarks Summit, formerly a longtime resident of Greensboro, N.C., died Tuesday, July 23 at her home after a brief illness. She was the wife of Robert Wright.
Born Dec. 22, 1969 in Jersey City, New Jersey, she was the daughter of Dorothy (Healey) Videtti and the late John Videtti.
Kathy spent much of her childhood in East Windsor, New Jersey and was a graduate of Bishop McCorristin. She attended the University of Scranton, graduating with a BS in accounting. Kathy's career started with Merrill Lynch working within the defined benefits division, later transitioning to various roles for Deutsche Bank. She was the youngest director ever appointed while working for Wachovia Bank (Wells Fargo) on the corporate side. As of recent, Kathy was systems integrator director for CohnReznick Accounting.
Kathy's pride and joy was her only son Sean. She spent many years as the Team Mom for various sports he played, always having an impact on the children that surrounded her. Her gentle demeanor and warm smile will surely be missed by her family along with others that came to know her. Kathy always enjoyed trips to some white sand destinations but could be right at home in the nearby smoky mountains. Spending time with family was part of her central core and the holidays brought out her creative senses, between cooking and decorating and dressing up her fur babies, Kobe and Finn, she was in her element.
Surviving in addition to her husband and mother are one son, Sean Wright, of Cullowhee, N.C.; one sister, Laura Videtti Gaskill, of Hamilton, N.J.; sister-in-law, Grace Wright, of Clarks Summit; brother and sister-in-law, John and Rose Mary Wright, of Orlando, Fla.; sister-in-law, Sandra Wright, of Old Forge; two nieces, Angela Wright Mariotti and daughters, Addison and Nina; and Kelly Wright Calderon and son, CJ.
She was preceded in death by brothers-in-law, Brian Wright and Dan Gaskill; as well as father and mother-in-law, John and Mary Wright.
The family would like to thank the staff at the Wright Center, Geisinger CMC Intensive Care Unit and Hospice of the Sacred Heart. Special acknowledgement to Doctors Sreelatha Naik and Jeff Wunderlich as well as her nurses, Leyha and Nadine.
The funeral will take place Tuesday, Aug. 6, at 11 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at the Church of St. Gregory, 330 N. Abington Road, Clarks Green, PA 18411. The family will receive relatives and friends from 10 to 10:45 at the church.
