Kathy L. Sacco, 70, of Archbald, passed away Wednesday at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital, Wilkes Barre. She was the wife of Leonard Sacco; they were married for 52 years.
Kathy was born in Taylor on July 20, 1953, a daughter of the late Evelyn (Howard) and Richard Chapman. She was a retired secretary at the Pennsylvania Department of Welfare, Scranton. She was a former 4-H leader and organized her own 4-H club in Archbald. She was a photographer, loved scrapbooking and coin collecting. She was very proud serving as a foster parent and was very devoted to her community.
Kathy is survived by three sons, Leonard Sacco Jr., companion Jacqueline, Ithaca, N.Y.; Jeremy, wife Laura, Browndale; Jeffrey Sacco, Kirkwood, N.Y.; a sister, Margaret Lockett, companion George, Herrick Center; a brother, Richard Chapman, wife Renee, Wesley Chapel, Fla. She is also survived by grandchildren, Sabrina Gavette and her husband Lawson, Gage Sacco, Emily, Erin, Sarah and Rebecca Brown; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a son, Christopher; a sister, Cindy Chapman; and four brothers, Richard, Dale, Lonnie and Harry Jay Chapman.
A religious service will be held at 5 p.m. on Saturday at Harrison Funeral Home, 374 N. Main St., Archbald. Viewing will be held 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday. Interment, private, at convenience of the family in St. Thomas Aquinas Cemetery.
