Lisa M. Mousley, 55, of Lake Ariel, passed away Thursday evening at Geisinger Community Medical Center in Scranton with her loving husband of 22 years, Howard "Howie" Mousley, and family surrounding her.
Born in Carbondale, the daughter of Barbara Robinson Granville (husband, Paul Sr.) and Roger McKinney Sr. (wife, Dawn), Lisa was a 1984 graduate of Western Wayne High School. She was a lifelong member of the Free Methodist Church of South Canaan, a devoted member of Northeast Search and Rescue, and a member of the Jefferson Twp. Volunteer Fire Company. Prior to her illness, Lisa worked for the U.S. Census Bureau. She also enjoyed her work as a vet assistant and a school bus driver.
Lisa was well known for her resounding, infectious laugh and always needing to have the last word, which was usually always right. She cherished family gatherings - especially birthday parties. Above all, Lisa loved her four-legged fur babies. Lisa and her husband Howie found it very rewarding to train their German Shepherds for search and rescue. They adored Dolche, their first certified search and rescue German Shepherd, his mate, Ryka and cherish their offspring Aslan, Kyro and Mayhem - also a nationally certified search and rescue dog.
Also surviving are daughters, Cristin Wormuth and husband, Randall Williams, Peckville; Ashley Wormuth and fiancé, Chris Davis, and baby Davis, arriving May 2022, Jefferson Twp.; son, Austin Mousley and wife, Lea, of West Wyoming; brothers, Roger McKinney Jr. and companion, Rebecca Carroll, South Canaan; William McKinney, of Scranton; stepbrother, Frank Lockwood, North Carolina; grandson, Elliott Williams; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Dean (Pap) and Doris McKinney; Eleanor Grutkowski and Donald Robinson.
The funeral service will be Friday, Nov. 12, at noon in the Free Methodist Church of South Canaan, 19 St. Tikhon's Road, South Canaan, PA 18459.
Friends may call from 9 a.m. in the East Room at the church until the time of service.
