Martin Fay, 70, of Scranton, died Saturday, Sept. 28 at the Forest City Nursing Center.
Born in Carbondale, son of the late Walter and Phyllis Howe Fay, he was a member of Our Lady of the Rosary Parish, Carbondale. He was a graduate of St. Rose High School, Carbondale, and received his associate's degree from Lackawanna Jr. College. Prior to his retirement, he was employed as a production manager for AZEK Company, Scranton. Marty was known and respected for his hard work; he approached everything with integrity. In his free time, he found joy in the simple moments, like spending time with family. He was an avid chess player and would love to boast whenever he would win a game against his son Paul. He loved to make people laugh. He touched the lives of many and will always be remembered for his kindness, compassion and gentle spirit. Marty may have left this world, but his love and legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
The family wishes to thank the staff at Hospice of the Sacred Heart and the Forest City Nursing Center for their compassionate care.
